Our fully-qualified Personal Training Team
All of our Personal Trainers meet REPS Level 3 criteria, meaning they are fully-qualified and up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the Fitness Industry.
However, just having a good knowledge and holding a relevant certificate doesn't automatically make the individual a good Personal Trainer. We firmly believe that our Trainers have the essential attributes and personality needed to provide our clients with a complete and unrivalled service.
They have a natural enthusiasm for fitness, creating a positive energy which will transmit onto you. They are inspirational, leading by example by practising what they preach. Gordon Hill BA, NASM CPT |
"Born and raised in the south-side of Glasgow, I have always enjoyed a keen interest in sport and exercise, making a career in the Fitness Industry a natural choice. This led me to the Scottish School of Sports Studies at Strathclyde University where I gained my Bachelor of Arts degree. Following University, I started employment as a Fitness Instructor, making me realise that one-to-one teaching was where my passion lay - personal training! So I enrolled on the National Academy of Sports Medicine personal training course, booked my flights and travelled to Los Angeles where I was successful in my studies. Returning home, 'Impact Personal Fitness Ltd.' was founded and I am confident that my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm provide my clients with a unique, motivational and unrivalled service." |
Gordon is an enthusiastic individual with a great passion for sport and exercise. With 10 years experience in the field along with a number of up-to-date qualifications, Gordon's personality and vast knowledge combine to offer a fresh and energetic approach to health and fitness that is witnessed every day by a host of satisfied clients. |

Janice Domke, YMCA PT BASED AT PARKLANDS COUNTRY CLUB, NEWTON MEARNS |
"Having been fit and active throughout my youth, I have always enjoyed physical activity. However, years of running my own business along with my hectic family life, I suddenly realised that I had lost all of my self-discipline. I had piled on the pounds and 3 years ago, I decided I had to do something about it. Soon after, I met Gordon Hill and experienced Impact Personal Fitness for the first time. Having trained previously with other Personal Trainers without much success, I immediately hit it off with Gordon. Through hard work, self-discipline and good nutrition, I've managed to lose 8 stone and drop from a size 22 to a size 12! But my story doesn't finish here... In 2010, after selling my successful recruitment business, I wanted a new challenge in my life. I decided I wanted to help others do what I had done. So I enrolled on the YMCA Fit Personal Trainer Programme and after a year of studying, I passed! I aim to use my own experience along with my newly aquired skills to help my clients transform their lives. After all, I am just a normal girl from Paisley, and if I can do it, anyone can!" |
A former client of Gordon and now a fully-qualified Personal Trainer, health and fitness has completely changed Janice’s life. Janice draws knowledge and experience from her own life changing story in a way that enables her to relate to her clients. Coupled with her infectious personality, her commitment and her desire to change the life of others, Janice uses all of her attributes to deliver a fun, unique and demanding session. |

Gareth Menzies BA, YMCA PT BASED AT FUTURE FITNESS, SHAWLANDS |
"Health and Fitness is my life and I enjoy making it part of other peoples' lives too. After many years playing football and enjoying a successful coaching career with Glasgow Rangers, I knew my passion lay in coaching people, motivating and correcting technique. However, I knew that I had to take my career to a new level and decided to train as a Personal Trainer. While training as a Personal Trainer I used my knowledge to transform my own body. I felt I needed to put weight on so through weight training and good nutrition, I increased my weight from 9 and a half stone to 13 stone. I have gained many qualifications, a highlight including my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Development and Sports Coaching, a reward from my time studying at University. Having a thirst for knowledge and a keen interest in different training techniques has pushed me to achieve more qualifications in order to get the best results for my clients." |
Gareth's array of qualifications ensures that he can train a variety of people making sessions fun, enjoyable and most importantly, effective! Constant progression of knowledge is a vital part of his life and Gareth hopes that as his knowledge base continues to grow, his clients will continue to progress, learn from him and grow with him. |
